Most of the problems in our society are the result of people treating each other as transactional.
“What Can You Do For Me?” instead of “What Can We Do For Each Other”?
I’m heavily involved in The Open Table Ministry, a group that gives homeless and disadvantaged young adults, aged-out of foster care, real-world skills and resources to become productive members of society.
We must find new ways to connect and take care of each other. Bigger government is rarely the answer. What government can’t do well, or shouldn’t be doing, we have to do for ourselves. Community groups, non-profits, and charities are doing incredible work. I want to bring these groups together to do more, turn up the volume, and connect them with more families in need.
